HDFC Asset Management Company Ltd., also known as HDFC Mutual Fund, belongs to the household brand of HDFC.
In 2001, HDFC Mutual Fund formed a joint venture with Abrdn Investment Management Limited (formerly known as Standard Life Investments Limited). In June 2023, Abrdn Investment Management Ltd sold its entire 10.2% stake in HDFC Mutual Fund.
Notably, HDFC Mutual Fund has made significant expansions through acquisitions (Zurich and Morgan Stanley Mutual Funds) and the got listed in 2018 through an IPO (Initial Public Offering).
