Canara Robeco Mutual Fund, formerly known as Canbank Mutual Fund, is among the earliest AMC (Asset Management Company) in India, operating since 1993.
In 2007, Canbank Mutual Fund sold 49% of its stake to Robeco Groep N.V.**, leading to the formation of Canara Robeco Asset Management Company Ltd (CRAMC).
Mr. Rajnish Narula has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Canara Robeco Asset Management Company Limited since September 2007.
**Robeco Groep N.V. is a multinational asset management company established in 1929 and was originally the asset management arm of Rabobank, a Dutch multinational banking and financial services company. The cooperation between the two firms began in 1990, and eventually, Rabobank acquired Robeco in 2001.
